Wellcome Collection gallery event – Photographs As Evidence

Our co-director Dr Jana Funke will be running workshops in The Institute of Sexology exhibition galleries at the Wellcome Collection, examining photographs from late 19th and early 20th century sexual science publications.
Visitors can contribute their own portrait in collaboration with an illustrator. These images offer a different perspective on the way individual identities and bodies were used as evidence in sexology, and on how individuals used sexual science to construct their own identities and sense of self.
